Weekend Students Group (WSG) is an independent student-led initiative created to support students and graduates affected by recent Student Finance England decisions regarding the classification of weekend-based university courses.
Our group was formed in response to the growing number of students who have experienced financial uncertainty, funding disruption, and repayment demands linked to the reclassification of weekend study as distance learning. Many affected students completed their studies in good faith, based on funding approved over multiple academic years, without any indication that their eligibility may later be questioned.
WSG exists to provide a united voice for students impacted by these developments.
